The different Açordas

Açorda is a soup that is simply scalded. A hot, clear broth, flavored with coriander or pennyroyal, or both, crushed garlic with coarse salt and seasoned with olive oil. Slices or pieces of wheat bread, preferably homemade and stale, give it consistency. Prepare two açordas and learn the differences between them: Alentejo Açorda and Açorda mexida de Camarão or Bacalhau com Tomate (stir-fried shrimp or cod with tomato).

Among fish broth, stews, fish stews, and typical regional migas (a bread-based dish), we invite you to watch and participate in the preparation of dishes slowly cooked in the cocaria (a traditional Portuguese cooking pot), in a gastronomic experience designed to be shared and enjoyed authentically.
